Role: Principal Data Engineer / Data Platform Architect (SAP HANA + Databricks)

Location: Bellandur, Bangalore

Work Mode: 4 5 Days/Week Onsite

Experience: 14 18+ Years

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineer / Data Platform Architect with strong expertise in SAP HANA, Databricks, and up-to-date cloud-based data platforms. This is a 100% hands-on architecture and engineering role for candidates who can design, build, optimize, and scale enterprise-grade data platforms while actively contributing to development.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data architecture, large-scale data engineering, data modernization, SAP ecosystem integration, and cloud-native analytics platforms.

Must-Have Skills:

- 15+ years of Data Engineering / Data Platform experience
- Strong hands-on Azure Databricks (Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
- Strong SAP data integration experience ( SAP HANA preferred; S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, SAP BW, or other ERP also acceptable )




- Experience building enterprise Lakehouse architectures
- Strong data modeling (Kimball, Fact/Dimension, SCD)
- Hands-on Spark performance tuning (data skew, partitioning, AQE, broadcast joins, optimization)
- Architecture and solution design experience
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance ("no babysitting")
- Experience designing reusable data products and enterprise data platforms
- Excellent stakeholder communication
