serology/ Pathology/ Clinical Biochemistry.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Consultants also act as Head of the Department. If there are more than one consultant in

a specific department, then one of them is given the responsibility of Head of the

Department.

2. Serves as a contributing member of the medical staff for those facilities served, wherever

applicable and appropriate

3. Clinically interpreting the test report & final release of the report.

4. Ensures the provision of clinical advice with respect to the choice of examinations, use of

the service and interpretation of examination results (Email and telephonic)

5. Provides professional development programs for laboratory staff.

6. Training lab staff on clinical interpretations

Monitors all work performed in the laboratory to determine that clinically relevant

information is being generated

8. Plan various research projects, data analysis, carry out necessary referencing, write &

publish scientific papers along with other colleagues

10. Referencing for recent test parameters, its clinical importance, reference ranges etc.

11. Handling EQAS outliers & carry out appropriate CAPA & RCA.

12. Speak in CMEs about the technology / case studies, subject to availability and comfort on

subject matter.

13. Providing support and respect to other colleagues within the Department, where

required
