Bag The Future is moving from spreadsheets and manual coordination to proper systems and we're hiring the person who will build them. This role owns our internal systems end to end: understanding how each function actually works, then translating that into automated workflows, dashboards, and tools using Google Apps Script and AI assistants like Claude. The role is fully remote from anywhere in India, working closely with our Dubai HQ and our India manufacturing team.

Founded in 2015, we are head quartered in Dubai and help businesses eliminate single-use plastic from their supply chains. Our facilities are certified by ISO, FSC, SEDEX, GRS, and GOTS. We are a 25-person company operating across the UAE/GCC and internationally small, quick-moving, and growing.

About the Role

Twelve months in, success looks like this: our core operations sales tracking, order and production pipelines, inventory and shipment coordination and management reporting — run on systems you designed, built, and documented. Manual, repetitive work has been automated. Leadership sees accurate, real-time dashboards instead of chasing spreadsheets. You will not be handed specifications; you will sit (virtually) with each team, understand what they do, and decide how it should work as a system.

Growth path: This role is designed to move to our Dubai headquarters. Subject to performance, you will relocate to Dubai within 6–12 months of joining.

What You'll Do

- Own process-to-system translation. Map business processes across sales, operations, production, and finance, and translate them into structured, automated systems.
- Build in Google Workspace. Design and maintain automations using Google Apps Script — triggers, custom functions, API integrations, and web apps across Sheets, Forms, Gmail, and Drive.
- Work AI-first.



Use Claude and similar AI tools as part of your build process and within workflows themselves — drafting scripts, structuring data, and automating document-heavy tasks.
- Deliver reporting. Create MIS dashboards and automated reports that give leadership real-time visibility into orders, production, and performance.
- Protect data integrity. Keep data clean, validated, and consistent across systems, and document every workflow so nothing depends on memory.
- Bring the team along. Train colleagues on the systems you build and improve them based on how they are actually used.

What We're Looking For

Required:

- 6+ years in MIS, systems, business analysis, or automation roles — with real systems you built and can walk us through.
- Advanced Google Apps Script: triggers, API integrations, and web apps in production use, not just recorded macros.
- Advanced Google Sheets (QUERY, ARRAYFORMULA, IMPORTRANGE, data validation) and solid JavaScript fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude or similar) to build, debug, and extend automations.
- Proven ability to sit with non-technical colleagues, understand a messy process, and design the system it should become.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ownership — this is a small company where you define the roadmap, not follow one.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote setup, coordinating across teams in Dubai and India.
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai within 6–12 months — this role is planned to move to our HQ, subject to performance.

Preferred:

- Looker Studio, AppSheet, or similar dashboard and low-code tools.
- Experience in manufacturing, trading, or B2B supply-chain environments.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs (logistics, accounting, CRM) with Google Workspace.
