Role & responsibilities

1. Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
2. Inspect materials for quantity and quality before accepting them into the store.
3. Maintain proper storage of consumables, tools, spare parts, PPE, fuel, lubricants, and other site materials.
4. Issue materials to departments and site personnel based on approved material requisition slips.
5. Maintain accurate stock records in the ERP/system and physical registers.
6. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
7. Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels to avoid shortages.
8. Coordinate with the Procurement and Site Operations teams for timely replenishment of materials.
9. Maintain proper documentation of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), stock registers, and gate passes.
10. Ensure proper identification, labeling, and housekeeping of the store area.
11. Safely store hazardous materials, chemicals, oils, and lubricants as per safety guidelines.

Monitor the usage and availability of PPE and ensure timely issuance to employees.
13. Track the movement of tools, machinery, and returnable items.
14. Coordinate with vendors for material replacement or return in case of damaged or rejected items.
15. Generate daily and monthly inventory reports and submit them to management.
16. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and statutory requirements.
17. Minimize material wastage, pilferage, and inventory losses through effective control measures.
18. Support internal and external inventory audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
19. Maintain proper records of scrap generation and disposal in coordination with the operations team.
20. Perform any other store-related activities assigned by the Site Manager.
