Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Lead and manage excavation, earthwork, grading, back filling, and site development projects from initiation to completion.
- Prepare project execution plans, schedules, resource allocation, and work methodologies.
- Ensure project completion within contractual timelines and budget.
- Monitor project progress and take corrective actions to address delays.

Site Management

- Supervise multiple project sites and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Surveyors, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper deployment of manpower, machinery, and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and progress.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and government authorities.
- Attend project review meetings and present project status reports.
- Resolve technical and operational issues with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications and client requirements.

Cost Control & Billing

- Monitor project budgets and control project costs.
- Review and approve client bills, RA bills, and subcontractor bills.
- Monitor productivity, equipment utilisation, and project profitability.
- Review cost-to-complete (CTC)



reports and variance analyses.

Equipment & Resource Management

- Ensure optimum utilisation of excavators, tippers, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
- Coordinate equipment mobilisation and demobilisation.
- Monitor equipment maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.

Quality Management

- Ensure excavation activities comply with approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain project documentation and quality records.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Promote a robust safety culture across all project sites.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Reporting

- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports
- Project Status Reports
- Resource Utilisation Reports
- Equipment Performance Reports
- Budget and Cost Reports
- Client Progress Reports
