Role & responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients in the outpatient department (OPD), inpatient wards, and emergency department.

Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor the progress of admitted patients.

Assess and stabilize pediatric emergencies.

Manage neonatal and pediatric cases according to established clinical protocols.

Assist consultants in specialized procedures and critical care management.

Prescribe medications and treatment plans based on clinical assessment.

Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging reports, and diagnostic tests.

Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, immunization, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.





Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely patient records and discharge summaries.

Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, mortality and morbidity reviews, and departmental audits.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.

Participate in continuing medical education (CME), academic activities, and research initiatives as required.

Perform on-call duties, night shifts, and emergency responsibilities as per departmental schedules.
