About the Role

Leap Agri Logistics is looking for an experienced Manager – Rail Rack Operations to lead and manage the end-to-end operations of its Food Grain Silo Terminal at Sahnewal (Base Location). The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing rail rack operations, including rake planning, wagon placement, loading, unloading, dispatch, and terminal activities. The role ensures timely rake handling, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, statutory compliance, and adherence to safety standards while driving seamless food grain logistics operations. The position also involves leading terminal operations teams and coordinating with Indian Railways, customers, contractors, transporters, and warehouse personnel to ensure productive and uninterrupted terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage complete rail rack operations, including rake planning, placement, loading, unloading, dispatch, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Indian Railways, FCI, customers, transporters, contractors, warehouse teams, and other stakeholders for seamless operations.
- Ensure timely loading and unloading of food grain wagons within the prescribed turnaround time (TAT).
- Lead and supervise Loading & Unloading Supervisors, warehouse staff, labour contractors, and support teams.
- Plan manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and shift scheduling to maximize productivity.
- Monitor wagon placement, rake movement, seal verification, bag counts, material reconciliation, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation, stock reconciliation,



daily operational reports, rake completion reports, and MIS reporting.
- Drive operational excellence by reducing detention, idle time, shortages, and material losses.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, railway guidelines, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of rail siding, warehouse, loading points, and storage areas.
- Monitor contractor performance, labour productivity, and operational costs.
- Investigate operational issues, damages, shortages, delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure operational readiness of handling equipment.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, stock verification, and statutory inspections.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety practices, PPE compliance, housekeeping standards, and environmental norms.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS reports and present performance updates to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, service quality, and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 7–12 years of experience in rail logistics, food grain logistics, warehouse operations, railway siding, bulk cargo handling,



or terminal operations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Experience in handling full rake operations for food grains, fertilizers, cement, steel, coal, or similar bulk commodities is preferred.

- Experience in food grain logistics and warehouse operations.

- Knowledge of inventory management, stock reconciliation, and logistics documentation.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and operational MIS reporting.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
