JOB DESCRIPTION CONCRETE PUMP OPERATOR

- Educational Qualification: 10+2 / ITI Fitter

Job Purpose

The Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining concrete pump machines safely at construction sites. The operator must ensure smooth concrete pouring, proper equipment handling, and follow all safety procedures at the workplace.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate concrete pump machines safely and efficiently.
- Operate Boom Pumps, Line Pumps, and Trailer Pumps as required at the site.
- Set up the concrete pump machine before starting work.
- Connect and check pipes, hoses, clamps, and other pump parts before operation.
- Control the flow of concrete and ensure it reaches the correct location.
- Coordinate with Site Supervisors, Engineers, and Concrete Mixer Truck Drivers during concrete pouring.
- Check the machine before and after every shift to ensure it is working properly.
- Clean the concrete pump, pipes, and hoses after use to avoid blockages.
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and immediately report any faults or breakdowns.
- Ensure the pump machine is properly positioned and stable before starting operations.
- Follow all safety rules and use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)



at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the worksite after completing the job.
- Keep basic records of machine condition and any maintenance work carried out.
- Handle the equipment carefully to avoid damage and minimize downtime.

Skills and Requirements

- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Concrete Pump Operator.
- Educational Qualification: 10+2 or ITI – Fitter.
- Good knowledge of operating concrete pump machines.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to identify simple machine problems and report them promptly.
- Physically fit and able to work at construction sites and in outdoor conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions from Supervisors and Engineers.
- Knowledge of concrete pumping procedures and machine handling.
- Valid Heavy Equipment Operator License or relevant certification will be an added advantage (if applicable).
