POSITION TITLE Mechanical Fitter

LOCATION : Mehsana

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Mechanical fitter installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in the mineral processing industries..
Also will ensure that all mechanical systems run smoothly and efficiently, thereby minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
Ensure LOTOTO during any equipment breakdown which has electrical/pneumatic source of energy.

JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation: Install, assemble, and commission new machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety
regulations.
Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to identify and rectify any issues before they lead to
breakdowns.
Repairs: Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs promptly to minimize production downtime. This may include welding, machining,
and replacing worn parts.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Participate
in safety audits and training sessions as required.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including electricians and operators, to ensure the efficient operation of equipment.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advances in mechanical technologies and techniques, and participate in initiatives to improve
maintenance practices and efficiency.
Cutting , welding
Monitor equipment health
10. Intimate and inform about upcoming preventive maintenance
11. Intimate and inform the minimum stock of consumables
12. Follow the safety standards
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements:
ITI Fitter with minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in similar field
Knowledge, skills and abilities
1.



Dial gauge alignment of ID fans, ball mill drives.
2. Working experience on screw compressor, EOT crane, blowers, pumps, screw conveyors,belt conveyors, rotary air valves and
bucket elevators.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
4. Solid mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
5. Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
6. Familiar with welding and gas cutting activities.
7. Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
8. Must be able to change most of the bearings, couplings, motors, classifiers
9. Must understand the required consumables qty.
10. Must be able to understand the behavior of mechanical moving parts
