This role requires managing the shop floor to build electric two and three-wheelers. Key duties include meeting daily production goals, checking product quality, and enforcing strict safety rules. You will also train staff and fix assembly line problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Production: Meet daily and monthly assembly goals for electric two and three-wheelers.
- Quality Control: Check all vehicle parts to ensure they meet the company's safety and quality rules.
- Team Management: Direct, train, and manage the daily tasks of assembly workers.
- Issue Resolution: Identify problems with the assembly line and fix them fast to avoid delays.
- Safety: Ensure all workers wear proper safety gear and follow plant rules.
- Report: Write daily reports on parts used,production speed, and worker performance.

Qualifications

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive or EV assembly supervision.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of EV parts like the battery pack, motor, and controller.
- Tools: Understanding of lean manufacturing and workplace organization practices.

Candidate must be familiar with core Japanese manufacturing principles widely used in automotive assembly lines to eliminate waste, improve quality, and boost efficiency:





- Kaizen (Continuous Improvement): Making small, daily changes to assembly processes to improve efficiency.
- 5S (Workplace Organization): Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain for a clean shop floor.
- Poka-Yoke (Mistake Proofing): Designing tools or processes that prevent human error during assembly.
- Just-In-Time / JIT (Lean Production): Receiving parts only as they are needed to reduce inventory costs.
- Andon (Visual Control System): A signal system that lets workers stop the line if a defect is found.
- Heijunka (Production Leveling): Smoothing out the production schedule to avoid large volume peaks and valleys.
- Jidoka (Autonomation): Giving machines the intelligence to stop automatically when a problem occurs.
- Genchi Genbutsu (Go and See): Going directly to the assembly line to understand a problem firsthand. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Practical Assembly Skills Needed

- Standardized Work Adherence: Following exact step-by-step instructions to ensure uniform vehicle build quality.
- Tact Time Synchronisation: Completing specific assembly tasks within a strictly timed production rhythm.
- Multi-Skilling (Asa-Chuke): Learning to operate multiple stations on the line to step in where needed.
- Visual Inspection: Spotting scratches, loose bolts, or misaligned parts quickly with the naked eye.
- Torque Tool Proficiency: Operating calibrated electric and pneumatic guns to secure critical fasteners safely.
