Senior Test Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software/system testing, automation testing, and industrial IoT environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing test strategies, executing test cases, developing automation scripts, and ensuring product quality across edge computing and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, performance, and system testing.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Perform testing of Edge devices, IoT systems, and industrial automation solutions.
- Validate industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and OPC UA.
- Work with Docker containers, image creation, and deployments.
- Perform hardware integration testing with Edge Box / industrial devices.
- Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Validate certificates, licenses, and security-related configurations.




- Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.
- Support CI/CD-based test execution and automation integration.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Software/System Testing.
- Strong experience in Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience with PLC and Industrial Automation systems.
- Knowledge of Modbus and OPC UA protocols.
- Experience with IoT / Edge Computing environments.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Performance Testing.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Valuable to Have Skills

- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman/RestAssured).
- Experience with JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP).
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Education

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
