Role & responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
- Manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, machinery, and other operational requirements.
- Coordinate with the Production, Stores, Planning, and Finance departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
- Track market trends and material prices, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supplier-related issues.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase documentation, and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in Focus software is required.
