Process Engineer Warehouse & In-Plant Logistics

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to design, implement, stabilize, and continuously improve warehouse and in-plant logistics operations for an automotive manufacturing project. The candidate should have strong experience in automotive warehousing, material flow design, PFEP, receiving, putaway, replenishment, sequencing, line feeding, inventory management, and productivity improvement initiatives. Process engineers are typically responsible for material-flow optimization, warehouse capacity planning, line-side logistics, PFEP, Kanban, cycle-time studies, and layout improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and optimize end-to-end warehouse and in-plant logistics processes.

- Develop and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part), material flow maps, and process layouts.

- Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, unloading, GRN, putaway, replenishment, picking, rebagging, sequencing, kitting, and line feeding.

- Conduct time studies, work measurement, manpower planning, and productivity improvement projects.

- Drive warehouse layout optimization, storage planning, and material handling equipment utilization.

- Implement FIFO, FEFO, Kanban, supermarket, milk-run, and lean logistics concepts.





- Coordinate with Operations, Production, Quality, Planning, and 3PL teams for uninterrupted material flow.

- Monitor warehouse KPIs including productivity, inventory accuracy, line feeding adherence, space utilization, and operational efficiency.

- Lead continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S, cost reduction, and process standardization initiatives.

- Support SAP/WMS transaction compliance and inventory control activities.

- Prepare manpower deployment models, cycle-time studies, capacity calculations, and logistics cost models.

- Support project ramp-up, SOP stabilization, and recent process implementation.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Operations and In-Plant Logistics.

- Hands-on experience in Receiving, GRN, Putaway, Picking, Replenishment, Repacking/Rebagging, Kitting, Sequencing, and Line Feeding.

- Experience in automotive OEM, Tier-1, CKD/SKD, or Contract Logistics operations.

- Knowledge of PFEP, Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, JIT/JIS, Milk Run, and Material Flow Engineering.

- Proficiency in SAP/WMS and MS Excel.

- Experience in manpower planning, MHE planning, and warehouse layout design.

- Knowledge of MOST, Time Study, Work Measurement, and Productivity Analysis.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
