Description:

This position is for a Senior Project Engineer to conduct RD studies in the mixing lab and also establish a crystallization lab. Working under the guidance of an Industry expert, this individual will conduct RD studies in stirred tanks and flow reactors. The goal would be to help industry with process design and process development.

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for managing overall operations through effective planning, organizing, leading and controlling organizational resources.
- Liaison with business unit head and engineers responsible for experimentation on ground.
- Plan, develop and implement new strategies, policies and processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability of operation, productivity of ground staff.
- Design monitor policies, procedures, rules and regulations for the Business Unit to maximize output.
- Review, analyze activity reports and performance of departments to identify area of cost reduction and improve operations.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower and materials and achieve maximum productivity and profitability.
- Facilitate coordination and communication across different Teams, sharing of resources, etc.
- Handle client s escalations and techno commercial queries along with the BU head.
- Manage process design activities associated with construction of pilot plants and provide inputs to freeze on the design and detailed specification of various components required for the project.

Overall Management of Pilot Laboratory:

- Drive Laboratory performance program through implementation of positive laboratory practices.
- Make sure to implement all safety norms as needed.
- Implement lock out tag out or other models as necessary.

Project Execution:





- Plan and execute projects within promised time scales and budgets.
- Understand the larger objectives of a given experimental project for better management of Engineers and technicians on ground.
- Train staff and follow safety procedures by conducting regular meetings.
- Evaluate infrastructure as per project requirement.
- Plan for unplanned situations to meet the timelines.
- Identify and highlight the gap between the existing capability/infrastructure and what is required for the new project.

Education Background:

B.E / M Tech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience working with Plant or Laboratory Operations of Mid-Sized Plant / Laboratory is must.

Desired Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong Presentation Vendor Management skills.
- Able to work well under pressure. Planning the work and delivering to the timelines is critical.
- Need impeccable leadership and supervision skills, a strong work ethics, rules and regulations along with safety aspects. Management Proficiency is added advantage.
- Hands on experience in Equipment Maintenance, Training, Analyzing Information etc.
- Experience in green field projects (at least 1 or 2) would be an added advantage.

Job Location:

Shirwal, Dist. Satara. Candidate should be either ready to relocate to Shirwal. Should be able to provide commitment for 36 months.
