Qualification and Experience: Bachelors/Diploma is Electrical/Electronics Engineering. At least 5 years in Hardware Design testing of automotive electronics products like Instrument Panel Clusters and/or Infotainment systems.
About the Position : The Environmental Validation Engineer has the responsibility for independently verifying that the hardware design of the product meets or exceeds the customers design requirements, leaving no defects undetected and promptly reporting and escalating defects as they occur.
Location: Pune, India
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop the environmental test plan (DVP) utilizing customer specifications and create DVP
Utilize customer and design specifications to create tests necessary for every circuit on the product
Knowledge on EMC and ENV OEM specs as well as ISO/ISE standards
Define/develop detailed EMC test plan as per OEM requirement
Define/develop detailed ENV test plan as per OEM requirement
Interact with the OEM to address any technical questions on test plans/procedures
Work with Program Team to develop the test schedule and incorporate it into the project timing plan
Work with the team to identify the appropriate test locations
Develop program specific test equipment specification
Support Test Operations in the creation of POs to support outsourced tests
Coordinate with external lab/vendors for quotes and test schedule
Define the measurement techniques and setup necessary to implement the tests
Work with the team to ensure the product is ready for DV testing
Travel to test locations for Test setup verification during Engineering or design validation testing Execute Electrical and Environmental Tests as per DVP
Develop and write detailed project reports to communicate test results in the form of DVPR

Identify investment required for the test process and start PO process for any long lead test equipment needs
Test equipment design and development
Track and review Lab equipment and identify items due for calibration
Knowledge of using Lab equipment like OScope, Multimeter, Data acquisition devices, Soldering equipment etc
