The Leader / Manager - Electrical Design will be responsible for leading the electrical design function for industrial automation systems and components. This role involves ownership of system-level and component-level electrical design, technical decision-making, team leadership, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Role & Responsibilities -

- Lead electrical design activities for industrial automation systems, machines, and equipment, covering both system-level and component-level design.
- Define electrical architecture, control philosophy, wiring concepts, and safety strategies for automation solutions.
- Review and approve electrical schematics, drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, customer requirements, and applicable international standards (IEC, UL, CE, etc.).
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning stages.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Design, Controls/PLC, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Service.
- Support project planning by estimating effort, timelines, and resource requirements for electrical design activities.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and third-party suppliers for technical discussions and design clarifications.
- Ensure on-time delivery of electrical design outputs in line with project milestones.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor,



and develop a team of electrical design engineers and designers.
- Allocate work, set priorities, monitor progress, and ensure quality output from the team.
- Conduct technical reviews, performance feedback, and skill development initiatives.
- Build technical capability and promote best practices within the electrical design team.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Masters degree is an added advantage.Experience
- 15-20 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, special-purpose machines, or manufacturing systems.
- Proven experience in leading or managing electrical design teams.
- Strong exposure to system-level electrical design and integration.

Technical Skills

- Expertise in electrical schematics design using tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of industrial components: PLCs, HMIs, drives, motors, sensors, safety systems, and power distribution.
- Understanding of control systems, machine safety, and industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with global electrical standards and regulations.
