Position Overview?

The Assistant Manager - UK Accounts oversees the delivery of UK statutory accounts, VAT and payroll reconciliations, corporation tax workings, and year end financial reports for UK clients. The role is responsible for managing a team of UK accounting professionals, ensuring high-quality deliverables, handling escalations, improving processes, and supporting client relationships. This position requires deep expertise in UK accounting standards (FRS 102 Section 1A, FRS 105), robust leadership skills, and the ability to independently manage complex client portfolios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities?

- Team Management Leadership
- Lead a team of Senior Executives and Executives handling UK statutory accounting work.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to ensure optimal productivity and utilization.
- Review team outputs including financial statements, VAT workings,



payroll reconciliations, and corporation tax computations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and 1:1 sessions to support team development.
- Drive engagement, monitor morale, and manage attrition reduction initiatives.

- UK Financial Statements Technical Review

- Oversee the preparation and finalization of Balance Sheet, Profit Loss, and supporting schedules.
- Review financial statements for compliance with FRS 102 Section 1A, FRS 105, and Companies House requirements.
- Review year end working papers including: control accounts, debtors/creditors reconciliations, accruals prepayments, bank reconciliations.
