What we are looking for:

The Manager Manufacturing Engineering will play a pivotal role in developing, industrializing, and scaling EV two-wheeler manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for end-to-end process design, equipment development, supplier coordination, line readiness, and mass production support for EV vehicle assembly.

The incumbent will work closely with Vehicle Development, Production, Quality, Layout Engineering, and Suppliers to ensure robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing systems aligned with quality, cost, and delivery targets.

What you will own and do:

Manufacturing Process Line Development

- Design and implement end-to-end EV two-wheeler assembly processes covering chassis, powertrain, and final assembly.

- Develop manufacturing processes for EV Vehicle Assembly Lines and EV Vehicle Testing Validation systems.

- Lead new process development, equipment runoff, installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement for vehicle production lines.

- Support production teams during new model ramp-up and mass production stabilization.

Equipment, Tools Technology

- Prepare RFQs, scopes of work, and conduct technical finalization of SPMs and testing equipment.

- Hands-on experience with DC and pneumatic tools, press equipment, assembly conveyors, laser marking, EOL dyno systems, and vehicle testing equipment.

- Ensure equipment placement and installation with focus on ergonomics, safety, maintainability, and operational efficiency.

Documentation Standards

- Create and maintain manufacturing gateway documents including PFD, PFA, PFMEA, SOPs, and process digitization.

- Support SOVP audits and PPAP activities, ensuring compliance with IATF / ISO standards.





- Prepare and deliver training programs for Manufacturing and Quality teams for new model assembly processes.

Supplier Vendor Management

- Prepare budgets and techno-commercial comparisons for equipment and tooling suppliers.

- Coordinate with vendors for trials, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover.

- Drive new vendor development and manage ongoing supplier performance.

Capacity Planning Continuous Improvement

- Evaluate production capacity against demand and plan for future expansion or de-bottlenecking.

- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to improve throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.

- Ensure station readiness and material availability for vehicle assembly line launches.

Layout Plant Engineering

- Collaborate with layout engineering teams to develop and optimize production layouts.

- Plan layouts for new projects and modifications considering process flow, material handling, utilities, and safety norms.

- Lead process development activities for new vehicle programs and projects.

What you will bring to us:

Technical Skills

- Strong process knowledge of automobile / EV vehicle final assembly lines.

- Experience in EV manufacturing equipment development, testing equipment development.

- Proficiency in manufacturing tools and systems: ERP, Excel, Power BI.





- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, IATF 16949, ISO standards.
