Job Description 2: Experienced Textile Engineer (3--7 Years)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Textile Engineer to lead and optimize our Nylon Polymer and Yarn Manufacturing lines. You will be responsible for driving production efficiency, managing process parameters for specialized nylon grades (Nylon 6 / 6,6), minimizing waste, and spearheading current product development (NPD). The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in high-speed melt spinning and yarn processing.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Optimization: Fine-tune extrusion, quenching, drawing, and wind-up speeds to maximize line efficiency and yarn yield.
- NPD & Recipe Management: Develop and implement polymer compounding recipes for specialized yarns (e.g., high-tenacity, micro-denier, colored masterbatch).
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into chronic defects like broken filaments, uneven dyeing, and low package build quality using 8D or FMEA methodologies.
- Asset Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule spinneret changes, pack cleaning, and preventative machine overhauls.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of shift operators and junior engineers to meet strict monthly production and safety targets.
- - Qualifications & Skills

- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Technology.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of direct shop-floor experience in Nylon (PA6/PA66) chip spinning or POY/FDY/DTY yarn manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of melt-spinning manifolds, quench air systems, godet roll dynamics, and texturizing parameters.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 9001/14001 auditing experience is highly preferred.
-

- Do you require experience with specific machinery brands (e.g., Oerlikon Barmag, TMT)?
