Job Purpose

To oversee/ manage various accounting and finance functions such as book keeping, preparation of financial statements, financial reporting, taxation, audit, compliance and submission of financial/ MIS to the senior management

Job description

- Preparation and finalization of financial statements in compliance with IndAS

- Reviewing brokerage income, transaction charges, statutory levies, and related accounting entries.

- Supervising accounting and reconciliation of Margin Trading Facility (MTF) book, Debtors book and interest computation

- Reviewing client ledger balances, receivables, payables and ageing analysis for management reporting

- Lead the Statutory Audit, IFC testing, Internal Audit and Tax Audit, including timely closure of audit requirements.

- Reviewing accounting entries for expenses, payments, Investments, prepaid and provisions

- Continuous review of existing processes and internal controls to identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and process improvements.





- Coordinating with operations, risk management, compliance, and back-office teams for timely resolution of operational and financial matters

- Review of cost code of all the accounting entries and preparation of Branch wise business PLs

- Monitoring, supervising, and reviewing Finance & Accounts related activities performed by the team

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant

Experience

>=3 Years preferably in a broking/ financial services company

Functional Competencies

Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards (Ind-AS), Taxation policy, regulations & bye-laws governing the stock broking/ financial services business.

Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills; demonstrated leadership skills in managing and building a team.

Excellent Communication (both oral & written) and interpersonal skills.
