Role Overview:

- We at Viaprom are looking for a SQL Developer with 3-4 years of hands on experience in developing, and optimizing SQL database solutions to support a large enterprise analytics and automation platform for a long-term enterprise project in Kolkata.
- The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, developing stored procedures, functions, views, and optimizing database performance.
- The candidate will work closely with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to build scalable and efficient database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- 1. Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- 2. Develop productive database solutions to support business applications and reporting requirements.
- 3. Optimize SQL queries and database objects for improved performance and scalability.
- 4. Analyze business requirements and convert them into robust database solutions.
- 5. Perform query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis to enhance performance.
- 6. Troubleshoot database-related issues and resolve production incidents.
- 7. Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- 8. Write clean, reusable, and well-documented SQL code.
- 9. Support database deployments, releases, and change management activities.
- 10. Ensure adherence to coding standards and database security best practices.

Required Skills

- 1.



Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- 2. Strong understanding of SQL concepts including:
- 3. Joins (Inner, Left, Right, Full) ,Subqueries, Aggregate Functions, Window Functions, Transactions
- 4. Experience with query optimization, indexing, execution plans, and performance tuning.
- 5. Good understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and database design.
- 6. Experience handling production support, debugging, and resolving SQL-related issues

Preferred Skills

- 1. Exposure to ETL processes or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is an added advantage.
- 2. Basic understanding of Power BI or reporting tools is desirable.
- 3. Knowledge of Azure SQL Database or cloud databases is a plus.

Candidate Profile

- 1. Have 3-4 years of hands-on experience developing SQL database solutions.
- 2. Be confident in creating and modifying Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, and other database objects.
- 3. Have experience optimizing complex SQL queries and improving database performance.
- 4. Be able to analyze business requirements and independently develop efficient SQL solutions.
- 5. Have worked on production support, debugging, and performance tuning.
- 6. Possess strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- 7. Be comfortable collaborating with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
