As the Design Head for Men's Wear, you will lead our design team in creating creative and trend-setting collections that resonate with our target audience. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process from conceptualization to final production. Your creative vision and leadership will ensure that our men's wear line not only meets but exceeds market expectations while staying true to our brand's identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trend Analysis & Conceptualization:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends in men's fashion.
- Develop comprehensive mood boards and themes for each collection, aligning with our brand's identity and target market's preferences.
- Present and justify design concepts to the management and stakeholders.
- Design Development & Execution:
- Lead the design process, from sketching initial designs to selecting fabrics, patterns, and colors.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible within cost and manufacturing constraints.
- Oversee the creation of technical packages for production, including detailed specifications for construction, material, color, and size.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Manage and mentor the men's wear design team, fostering a creative and productive work environment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to ensure a cohesive brand image and successful product launches.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on design work, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Quality Control & Brand Consistency:
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Regularly review product samples, making adjustments as necessary to achieve the desired outcome.
- Stay updated with the latest design software and technologies to enhance efficiency and creativity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design from NIFT
- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in men's wear design
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work, especially in men's fashion.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, textile sciences, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD).
