Function Overview
GIC Sales & Commercial Capabilities team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets.
We enable customer pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

Purpose of the role
The Role will be responsible for supporting the business teams across categories and regions in the US / International markets.
Team member will independently and proactively support a wide variety of planograming & reporting needs including refreshing excel reports & initiating value adds, proprietary tool proficiency and technical expertise in planograming.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
70% of time - Deliver Standard and Ad-hoc Reports/POGs | Build Reports/POG's from scratch
- Deliver Standard POGs
- Navigate through the guidelines and build quality planograms.
- Apply intermediate/advanced level of expertise in intermediate/advanced level of expertise in JDA, Appollo, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Tableau, Syndicated, POS and Panel Data etc.
- Actively learn & implement principles of category management
- Display a high sense of accountability and presence of mind when completing requests with high visibility or tight turnaround times and communicate effectively
- Find synergies in the reports/database to avoid redundancy
20% of time - Technical Expertise
- Master and own the monthly deliverables in the form of reports & presentations and send quality output in a timely manner
- Update monthly deliverables based on business requirements and facilitate the larger team create functional, high impact efficient reports
- Support the development of best-in-class reports and tools
10% of time - Continuous Improvement mindset to deliver Executional Excellence
- Ensure TAT is upheld via awareness on process requirements, meeting benchmark time estimates and through articulate expectation settings with the stakeholder
- Guarantee data quality and accuracy through thorough comprehension of request, accurate application of tools/platforms with an eye for detail and a robust data & logic check
- Eliminate Waste, Contribute to the Functional Productivity Goals
- CI Mindset: develop a lens of continuous improvement for the projects, process & larger team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Full time graduation from an accredited university
- 1-2 years of relevant Planogramming, Business Reporting or Analytics experience in CPG (or related) industry.
(Note : Freshers who are interested in pursuing a career in Sales & Category Analytics are welcome to apply, 2026 graduates are preferred)
