Role & responsibilities

Traffic & Transportation Planning

- Undertake traffic impact assessments (TIA), corridor studies, and feasibility studies for urban infrastructure projects
- Perform traffic analysis and forecasting using recognized methodologies
- Develop multimodal transport plans including road, public transport, NMT (pedestrian & cycling), and parking strategies
- Support preparation of CMPs, TMPs, mobility plans, and transit-oriented development (TOD) inputs

Design & Infrastructure Support

- Assist in planning and design of transportation infrastructure, including urban roads, junction improvements, flyovers, transit corridors, and street redesign
- Review geometric layouts, traffic circulation plans, signage, and marking schemes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (highway, urban planning, structures, environment)

Data Analysis & Modelling

- Analyze traffic survey data (classified counts, turning movements, speed-delay, OD, parking surveys)
- Use traffic analysis and modelling tools (e.g., Excel-based models, GIS, SIDRA, VISSIM, or equivalent)
- Interpret results and provide clear engineering recommendations

Reports, Communication & Presentation





- Prepare high-quality technical reports, drawings, presentations, and bid documents
- Present findings to internal teams, clients, and government authorities
- Coordinate with stakeholders and support meetings/workshops with agencies .

Preferred candidate profile

Education

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Masters in Transportation Engineering preferred)

Experience

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in traffic engineering / transportation planning
- Experience working on urban infrastructure projects, preferably in metro cities like Mumbai

Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of traffic engineering principles and standards
- Proficiency in report writing
- Familiarity with national/international guidelines (IRC, MoRTH, urban street design standards)
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, PowerPoint; exposure to traffic simulation tools is an advantage

Soft Skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good presentation and client interaction skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
