Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, technology-savvy, and student-focused Computer Teacher for Classes VI to X. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire students to become confident digital learners and problem-solvers. The teacher will be responsible for delivering computer education, coding fundamentals, digital literacy, computational thinking, and practical technology skills while ensuring alignment with CBSE curriculum standards and modern educational practices.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

- Teach Computer Science, Information Technology, and Digital Literacy to students of Classes VI to X as per CBSE curriculum guidelines.
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons on computer fundamentals, software applications, internet technologies, coding, and emerging technologies.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, projects, and practical exercises aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Foster computational thinking, logical reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Introduce students to programming concepts, coding fundamentals, and responsible technology usage.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions to support varying learning needs.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and curriculum requirements.

Computer Laboratory & Practical Learning

- Plan, organize, and supervise computer laboratory sessions and practical activities.
- Provide hands-on training in software applications, coding platforms, productivity tools, and digital resources.
- Ensure proper maintenance and responsible use of computer systems, hardware, software, and laboratory resources.
- Monitor student activities in the computer lab and enforce cyber safety and acceptable use policies.
- Support students in developing practical technology skills through project-based learning.

Curriculum Delivery Areas

Depending on grade level and curriculum requirements, the teacher may be responsible for teaching:

- Computer Fundamentals and Digital Literacy
- Operating Systems and File Management
- Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Applications
- Internet, Email, and Online Collaboration Tools
- Programming Fundamentals (Scratch, Python, Block-Based Coding, etc.)
- Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies (introductory level)
- Cyber Safety and Digital Citizenship
- Data Representation and Information Management
- Basic Web Development Concepts
- Computational Thinking and Problem Solving
- Educational Technology Applications

Assessment & Evaluation

- Design and administer theory and practical assessments, projects, assignments, and examinations.
- Prepare competency-based and application-oriented assessments aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Assess coding projects, practical assignments, and digital portfolios.




- Analyze assessment outcomes and implement improvement strategies.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in academic review and result analysis meetings.

Classroom Management

- Create a positive, engaging, and technology-rich learning environment.
- Encourage collaboration, innovation, and responsible digital behavior.
- Foster creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving through technology.
- Maintain discipline and ensure safe usage of digital resources and equipment.

Technology Integration

- Utilize Smart Boards, Learning Management Systems (LMS), coding platforms, educational software, and digital learning tools.
- Integrate technology across teaching, assessments, and project-based learning activities.
- Support school-wide digital learning initiatives and educational technology programs.
- Stay updated with advancements in educational technology and emerging digital trends.

Student Development

- Mentor students in coding, digital literacy, computational thinking, and technology projects.
- Guide students in coding competitions, hackathons, robotics activities, technology exhibitions, and innovation challenges.
- Encourage participation in STEM programs, AI awareness initiatives, and technology-based competitions.
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide individualized support where required.
- Promote ethical technology use, cyber awareness, and responsible digital citizenship.

Parent Communication

- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and digital skill development.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), counseling sessions, and academic discussions.
- Provide guidance on safe and productive technology use at home.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain attendance records, practical assessment reports, laboratory records, and academic documentation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Support school events, examinations, STEM initiatives, technology exhibitions, and institutional activities.
- Contribute to the development of study materials, coding exercises, project guidelines, and technology resources.

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred and may be mandatory as per school policy.




- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science), or a related field will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 25 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school or educational institution.
- Experience teaching Computer Science or Information Technology to Classes VI–X.
- Experience in coding instruction, robotics, STEM education, or educational technology programs will be preferred.

- Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, programming concepts, networking basics, internet technologies, and digital tools.
- Familiarity with coding platforms such as Scratch, Python, Blockly, or similar educational programming environments.
