We are looking for the role of Inspection Engineer - Electrical - Mumbai

Department / Function: - Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Qualification: BE + 3 years' experience OR Diploma + 5 years' experience (Electrical/relevant discipline)

Experience: 35 years in industrial/utility safety inspection, audit and mock drill coordination

Responsibilities:

- Conduct day-to-day site safety supervision and audits across the assigned Mumbai division.
- Plan and conduct periodic mock drills, toolbox talks and safety awareness/training sessions for site personnel and contractors.
- Identify unsafe acts/conditions and near-misses; raise Safety Observation Reports (SOR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure in coordination with divisional teams and contractors.
- Verify compliance with AEML's safety management system, statutory requirements (electrical safety, factories/shops & establishments) and applicable IS/IE Rules.
- Review and verify Permit-to-Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and other safety documentation prior to high-risk work.
- Maintain safety inspection records, checklists,



training records and documentation as per AEML's format.
- Support incident/accident investigation, root-cause analysis and reporting as required.
- Conduct PPE compliance checks and verify availability/condition of safety equipment at site.
- Escalate unresolved or high-risk safety issues promptly to the divisional safety in-charge and TUV India Project Manager.
- Participate in periodic safety committee meetings and contribute to safety performance review.

- Key Skills & Competencies

- Sound knowledge of electrical safety practices, IS/IE Rules and statutory safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience conducting safety audits, inspections and mock drills.
- Incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills to engage with site teams and contractors.
- Working knowledge of MS Office for report preparation
- NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent safety certification preferred (not mandatory).
