Position : Head QA/QC

Location: Mumbai

Exp: Minimum 20-22 Years of working experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the field of Industrial Chemicals, Fertiliser sector or In Active Pharmaceutical Industrial Company.

Education : M.Sc. in Organic/ Inorganic or Analytical Chemistry. Doctorate in chemistry will be added advantages.

Job Purpose:

- To carry out all activities required to ensure Quality Control & Assurance of Raw Materials, Intermediates, & Final Products, Catalyst and chemicals, Utilities, & Effluents.
- To ensure quality of raw materials, Utilities, Intermediate products/ streams and final product manufactured to meet the required standards, by providing effective support to the plant operations, despatch with the ultimate aim to reduce customer complaint and cost.
- To ensure safety measures are followed during all QA QC Process.
- To carry out analytical research and development work in the field of Industrial Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Fertilizers in view of product development, process improvement, search, selection, and development of alternate resourcing of raw materials, packing materials and catalysts etc.

Key Accountabilities & Outcomes

Quality Assurance for all Business products

- strategies and programs to prevent defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
- Conduct risk Assessment and implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions to mitigate quality risks.
- Coordinate and lead investigations into product quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.





Establishment and sustenance of TPM/ GMP practices in company to assure the total quality system for assuring customer confidence level

Quality control for all business products

- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to monitor the entire manufacturing process from raw materials procurement to finished product release.
- Implement statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor process performance and ensure consistent product quality.
- Review and approve specifications, testing methods, and quality documentations.
- Plan for recent instruments and their maintenance to avoid breakdown.
- Support to NPD team for business expansion by providing analytical and document support for new customer.

Quality Management System

- Develop, Implement and maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Team Management and Training

- Lead and manage the QA and QC team, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure their professional development and performance.
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees on quality related topics, including quality awareness, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Supplier and Customer relations

Coordination and support to Production, marketing, and operations team

Ensuring all instruments / equipments in QC running smoothly and having AMC/ CMC and their calibration programme so that production can be serviced timely without nil breakdown
