We are looking for a proactive, disciplined, and hands-on Safety Officer to strengthen our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function at our Manufacturing Plant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure complete compliance with the Factories Act, Maharashtra Factory Rules, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Conduct daily plant safety inspections covering production, utilities, warehouse, maintenance, laboratory, and contractor work areas.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HIRA, and Risk Assessments.
- Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system for Hot Work, Height Work, Electrical Work, Confined Space Entry, Excavation, and Line Breaking.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5-Why, and CAPA methodologies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Plan and conduct Safety Induction, Toolbox Talks, Mock Drills, Fire Fighting, First Aid, Chemical Handling, PPE, and Emergency Response training.
- Monitor contractor safety compliance and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain statutory safety records, inspection reports, accident registers, training records, and legal documentation.
- Coordinate with Factory Inspectorate, Fire Department, Pollution Control Board, and other regulatory authorities.
- Drive Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS)



initiatives to build a solid safety culture.
- Monitor PPE compliance and recommend improvements to safety practices.
- Prepare and present monthly Safety MIS reports to management.
- Possess the authority to stop unsafe work or operations whenever required.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety (ADIS/PDIS or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer in a Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Pigment, or Process Manufacturing Industry.
- Thorough knowledge of:
- Maharashtra Factory Rules
- Factories Act
- ISO 45001
- Permit to Work System
- Lockout Tagout (LOTO)
- HIRA & Risk Assessment
- Incident Investigation
- Fire Safety
- Hazardous Chemical Handling
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.

Preferred Certifications

- ADIS / PDIS
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor
- First Aid & Fire Fighting Certification
- NEBOSH / IOSH (Added Advantage)

- Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety (Mandatory)
- B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Preferred)
