Job Description of Packager:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Packager to handle the careful packaging of jewellery products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring each item is packed securely, aesthetically, and accurately as per brand standards. This role requires precision, patience, and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Jewellery Packaging

- Pack jewellery items (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc.) neatly and securely.
- Ensure each product is placed in the correct box, pouch, or branded packaging material.
- Follow brand guidelines for presentation, arrangement, labelling, and finishing.

2. Quality Check

- Inspect jewellery for any defects, damages, missing stones, or incorrect items before packaging.
- Verify product quality, shine, and cleanliness before dispatch.
- Report any defects or mismatched items to the supervisor immediately.

3. Labelling & Tag Management

- Attach accurate tags, barcodes, SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) labels, and price tags to each product.
- Ensure correct product information is marked on boxes and outer packaging.
- Maintain label consistency and accuracy.

4. Order Preparation

- Prepare customer orders as per order sheet or packing list.
- Cross-check SKUs and quantities before sealing packages.




- Assist in arranging packages for courier pickup and dispatch.

5. Inventory & Material Handling

- Keep track of packaging materials like boxes, pouches, paper bags, cloth bags, bubble wrap, and tapes.
- Inform the supervisor when stock levels are low.
- Maintain proper handling and cleanliness of the packing area.

6. Coordination & Documentation

- Coordinate with production, QC, and dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
- Update packaging reports, order sheets, and daily work logs.
- Follow standard operating procedures for packing and dispatch

7. Shipping preparation:

- Perform tasks like weighing packages and preparing shipping documents, such as packing lists.
- Assemble daily orders and sort shipments into the correct categories
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.

Key Skills & Requirements & Qualifications:

- Minimum: HSC (12th Pass)
- 1 to 3 years of experience in packaging; jewellery packaging experience preferred.
- Positive hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle delicate jewellery items carefully.
- Basic understanding of SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) systems and labels.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational skills and time management.
