Position: Technical Project Coordinator Government / R&D; Customers

Role Summary

We are looking for a technically oriented and highly proactive person to coordinate with our technical customers, especially scientists and officers in government laboratories, R&D; institutions and defence / nuclear / space-related organisations.

The role will involve regular follow-up with customers on ongoing development projects, technical orders, testing requirements, documentation, delivery commitments and project milestones. The candidate will act as the link between the customer, our plant team, internal testing facilities and external testing agencies.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with technical customers, including scientists and officers in government laboratories and R&D; institutions.
- Follow up on enquiries, development orders, repeat orders and pending technical clarifications.
- Track development milestones, customer testing protocols and agreed project timelines.
- Coordinate internally with production, quality, testing and dispatch teams to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
- Follow up with in-house testing teams and external testing laboratories for samples, test schedules, reports and pending results
- Ensure that customer-specific testing protocols and documentation requirements are clearly communicated to the plant and quality teams.
- Visit customers regularly across India for technical follow-up,



order coordination, sample submission, report discussion and relationship management.
- Maintain clear records of customer discussions, action points, pending issues and committed timelines.
- Assist in preparing basic technical correspondence, status updates, visit reports and follow-up notes.
- Escalate delays, technical issues or customer concerns to management in a timely manner.

Candidate Profile

- Mechanical engineering background preferred. Materials, production or ceramic engineering background will also be suitable.
- Around 5–10 years of relevant experience in technical coordination, project follow-up, industrial sales support, quality coordination or customer-facing technical roles.
- Must be comfortable dealing with scientists, engineers, government laboratories, testing agencies and plant teams.
- Should have positive technical understanding and the ability to read drawings, specifications, testing protocols and basic quality documents.
- Must be highly organised, persistent and good at follow-up.
- Should be willing to travel extensively across India.
- Good written and spoken English is required. Hindi and regional language comfort will be an added advantage.
- Should be Bombay / Mumbai based or willing to relocate.
