Roles & Responsibilities:

Server Administrator

Primary:

- Maintain Inventory of Hardware Devices in Data Centre
- Monitor and maintain Servers
- Perform System Updates, Upgrades and Patch Management
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware/software related issues
- Co-ordinate with OEM for troubleshooting if required
- Ensure for all devices backup and recovery are in place
- Assist in deploying current software and hardware
- Monitor and manage backup systems
- Perform testing of backup and recovery as per schedule
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup-related issues
- Collaborate with IT team for recovery needs and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Secondary :

- Develop and implement backup strategies and policies as and when required
- Ensure Devices are put in AMC well before the AMC period begins
- Keep Documents updated towards system installations, configurations,



change management procedures etc.
- Adhere to Information Security Policies and close the Audit Findings.

Required Skills:

- Windows Server OS
- Active Directory, PowerShell
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Backup and Recovery tools (preferred Veritas)
- Remote Desktop Services
- System Monitoring Tools
- Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Cloud)
- Experience with disaster recovery planning
- Strong problem-solving
- Good Communication.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in IT / Computer Science / or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Server and Backup Administration
- Certifications in Server and Backup Administration or similar (MCITP, A+, N+, MCSA/MCSE, MCTS etc.)
