Job Title: Material Management Executive / Manager Real Estate, Mumbai

Location: Mumbai / Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)

Role Summary:
Responsible for endtoend material planning, procurement coordination, and inventory control for residential/commercial construction projects, ensuring timely availability of materials at optimum cost and compliance with quality standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects in coordination with project managers, site engineers, and purchase team.
- Coordinate procurement and material management for civil construction materials such as steel, cement, bricks, sand, aggregates, plumbing and sanitary items, tiles, electrical materials, and other consumables.app.jobitus
- Ensure incoming materials are inspected for quality, quantity, specifications, and supplier documentation (delivery note, test certificates, IS code compliance) before acceptance.bebee+1
- Maintain and update stock registers / inventory in ERP/SAP or similar systems, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.indeed+1
- Monitor minimum stock levels for frequently used items and raise indents/replenishment requests to avoid stockouts and project delays.bebee
- Organize proper stacking, identification, and traceability of materials at warehouse and site stores, including hazardous materials, as per safety norms.bebee
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with system inventory; support audit requirements and inventory valuation reports.app.jobitus+1
- Coordinate timely material deliveries to multiple sites within Mumbai/MMR as per project schedule, including followup with vendors and logistics partners.indeed+1




- Maintain documentation such as Material Receipt Notes (MRN), Material Issue Vouchers (MIV), Goods Received Notes (GRN), supplier invoices, and related records.app.jobitus+1
- Work with purchase team for vendor evaluation, cost comparisons, and negotiation inputs to optimize material costs and payment terms.app.jobitus
- Provide regular MIS reports: daily receipts and consumption, materialwise stock on hand, inventory turnover, and projectwise material costing.app.jobitus
- Coordinate with site teams for material rejection, shortages, discrepancies, and support resolution with vendors.app.jobitus
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and statutory norms related to storage and movement of construction materials

Required Skills & Competencies

- Solid understanding of construction materials and basic knowledge of civil construction processes (residential/highrise preferred).
- Good knowledge of inventory management practices and store operations
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory/ERP software such as SAP or similar systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work with site, purchase, vendors, and accounts teams.indeed+1

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Any Graduate or Diploma (Civil / Mechanical / Supply Chain / Any discipline) from a recognized institute.bebee
