About the Role

Tara Chand InfraLogistic Solutions Ltd delivers piling, heavy lifting, equipment rentals (cranes, manlifts, boomlifts) and specialised civil and mechanical services to India's largest steel plants, cement plants, oil refineries, thermal and renewable power projects, and to flagship Railway, Highway and Metro programmes.

We are hiring four experienced Safety Officers to own on-ground HSE at our project sites, with specific accountability for the two operations that carry our highest risk crane / heavy-lifting operations and piling / deep-foundation works. You will keep every lift and every rig operation incident-free, and make safety non-negotiable without slowing the job down. We deliberately keep our core team young and ambitious; the right person will be given real ownership early.

Key Responsibilities

Crane & Lifting Safety

- Review and approve lifting plans; verify crane capacity charts, load radius, ground bearing pressure, outrigger set-up and de-rating before every critical lift.
- Inspect cranes, slings, shackles, wire ropes, hooks and all lifting tackle; enforce colour-coding, load-test validity and third-party certification.
- Supervise barricading, exclusion zones, signalling and rigger competency during lifting operations; stop unsafe lifts on the spot.

Piling Rig Safety

- Enforce safe operation of bored cast-in-situ and driven piling rigs rig stability, ground conditions, kelly bar / auger handling, underground utility clearance and exclusion zones.
- Monitor bore-hole safety, spoil handling, rebar cage handling and concreting operations; ensure edge protection and open-excavation safety.
- Verify rig operator competency, daily rig checklists and preventive-maintenance compliance.

General Site HSE





- Implement and audit the Permit-to-Work system (hot work, work at height, excavation, confined space, energised work).
- Conduct HIRA / risk assessments, daily toolbox talks, safety inductions and PPE compliance checks.
- Drive a proactive near-miss and unsafe-condition reporting culture; investigate incidents, complete root-cause analysis and close corrective actions.
- Ensure statutory and client HSE compliance (Factories Act, BOCW, applicable IS codes, and client EHS regimes at power, refinery, steel and PSU sites).
- Maintain safety registers, inspection records, statutory returns and site HSE MIS; represent Tara Chand in client safety walkdowns and audits.
- Mentor junior safety stewards and site supervisors on HSE standards; target zero lost-time incidents across the site.

Requirements

Must-have (Eligibility)

- Specific, hands-on knowledge of safety in crane / heavy-lifting operations AND piling / deep-foundation works the core requirement for these openings.
- Working knowledge of the Permit-to-Work system, lifting plans, rigging and work-at-height safety.

Valuable-to-have

- Experience at industrial, power plant, refinery, steel or PSU project sites.
- Familiarity with BAUER / SANY / XCMG / ZOOMLION piling rigs and mobile/crawler crane operations.
- Additional certifications: NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or rigging / lifting-supervisor training.
- First-aid / fire-fighting certification.
