Role & responsibilities

We are hiring for a leading, professionally managed real estate developer with a strong presence in premium residential and mixed-use developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Cost Planning qualified to be part of the organization's pre-construction and design management team.

The role will be responsible for driving end-to-end cost planning activities from the feasibility stage through detailed design, ensuring optimum project costs while maintaining quality and design intent.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare conceptual and detailed cost plans for residential and mixed-use developments.
- Develop project budgets from feasibility through design development stages.
- Conduct cost benchmarking and feasibility analysis for new developments.
- Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
- Prepare and review BOQs, estimates and tender documentation.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and support commercial negotiations.
- Monitor design changes and assess their commercial impact.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure cost-effective project delivery.

Preferred candidate profile





- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (NICMAR qualification preferred).
- 8- 15 years of relevant experience in Cost Planning/Quantity Surveying.
- Mandatory experience with leading Cost Consultancy/PMC firms such as Gleeds, Turner & Townsend, Arcadis, Currie & Brown, AECOM, AtkinsRalis, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), WT Partnership, CBRE PDS, JLL PDS or similar.
- Strong experience in pre-contract cost planning, conceptual budgeting, feasibility studies, value engineering, BOQ preparation and tendering for large residential or mixed-use real estate projects.
- This is an individual contributor role requiring hands-on ownership of pre-contract cost planning, budgeting and value engineering activities across the project lifecycle.

Only candidates with B.E./B.Tech Civil and prior experience in a Cost Consulting firm (Gleeds, Turner & Townsend, Arcadis, Currie & Brown, AECOM, AtkinsRalis, RLB, WT Partnership, CBRE PDS, JLL PDS, etc.) handling pre-contract cost planning, feasibility studies and conceptual budgeting will be considered.
