Role Purpose

The Senior Manager Applications (Technical) will be responsible for driving the implementation, administration, support, adoption, and continuous improvement of engineering and project management applications across the organization. The role will focus on ensuring effective utilization of solutions such as Autodesk products, Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Project, and other engineering software by providing timely support, conducting regular training programs, and promoting digital adoption across business functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Implementation & Management

- Lead end-to-end implementation and rollout of engineering and project management applications.
- Manage Autodesk ecosystem including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM Collaborate Pro, and Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, consultants, and vendors for successful deployment and upgrades.
- Establish standards, templates, workflows, and governance mechanisms.

2. User Adoption & Digital Enablement

- Drive organization-wide adoption of engineering applications and digital workflows.
- Monitor application usage and identify opportunities to improve user engagement and productivity.
- Act as a change champion to ensure successful transition to current technologies.
- Develop adoption strategies and measure effectiveness through usage metrics and feedback.

3. Training & Capability Development

- Design and conduct periodic training programs for end users and project teams.
- Prepare user manuals, SOPs, FAQs, and knowledge repositories.
- Organize refresher sessions and advanced workshops to enhance user proficiency.
- Coordinate with OEMs and external partners for specialized training requirements.

4. Technical Support & Service Delivery

- Provide L2/L3 support for engineering applications and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Manage incident, service request, and escalation processes in line with defined SLAs.




- Work closely with vendors and OEM support teams to address complex issues.
- Ensure application availability, performance, and reliability.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

- Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing platforms.
- Facilitate integration of engineering applications with ERP, DMS, collaboration, and project management systems.
- Promote BIM and digital engineering best practices across projects.

6. Vendor & License Management

- Manage software licensing, renewals, and compliance.
- Monitor software utilization and optimize license consumption.
- Evaluate vendors and manage support contracts and AMCs.
- Ensure compliance with software policies and audit requirements.

7. Governance & Reporting

- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and service performance metrics.
- Maintain documentation related to applications, configurations, and processes.
- Prepare periodic dashboards and reports on application health, adoption, and support metrics.
- Ensure data security, backup, and business continuity for critical applications.

Experience & Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech (IT, Computer Science, Civil, Architecture, or related discipline).
- 12 - 18 years of experience in managing enterprise and engineering applications.
- Experience in Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC organizations preferred.
- Autodesk and BIM certifications will be an added advantage.
- PMP or Project Management certifications preferred.
