Privacy Manager Data Privacy & Information Security

Role Overview
the data privacy and information security program, ensuring compliance with global and Indian privacy regulations (DPDPA, GDPR, RBI, SEBI, IRDA). Oversee privacy controls, risk management, regulatory reporting, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain privacy frameworks and policies in line with DPDPA, GDPR, RBI, SEBI, IRDA, and other applicable regulations.
- Lead privacy impact assessments (PIA), data mapping, and risk assessments for new and existing processes.
- Oversee incident response for data breaches and coordinate with regulatory authorities as required.
- Manage and mentor the privacy team, including Assistant Managers.
- Drive compliance for audits (SEBI, RBI, IRDA, ISO 27001) and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Liaise with business, IT, legal,



and vendor teams to ensure privacy by design and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs on privacy and data protection.
- Monitor and report on privacy risks, controls, and compliance status to senior management and the DPO.
- Regulatory Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate submission of privacy and security reports to regulators (RBI, SEBI, IRDA), including breach notifications, compliance status, and audit findings.

Desired Skills & Requirements

- In-depth knowledge of DPDPA, GDPR, and Indian financial sector regulations (RBI, SEBI, IRDA).
- Hands-on experience with privacy operations, VAPT, IAM, endpoint security, and audit documentation.
- Solid understanding of broking/trading systems and BFSI technology landscape.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Mandatory privacy/security certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, ISO 27001 LA, CISA, CISSP).
- Bachelors or Masters in IT/CS or related field.
