JOB SUMMARY:

The position will cater to the requests for IDF/novelty searches from different regions, drafting new/complete patent

applications for advancing projects that are bound by strict timelines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conducting patent searches and analysis of prior art disclosures.
- Drafting Patent Specifications and filing.
- Data evaluation and analysis and preparing report.
- Identifying current inventions and conducting in-depth patentability analysis for products, processes, compositions, uses, technologies for various territories/jurisdictions of technical, formulation and biological products.
- Novelty search for IDFs received from scientists/stake holders.
- Handling all Assignment issues such as drafting and filing of Assignments deeds.
- Providing support on devising the patent filing strategies for global and cross-regional projects.
- Patent prosecution and opposition handling experience will be an added advantage.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Overall,



Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Masters in chemistry/Pharmacy /M.Sc. (Agriculture), Patent agent.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law & Practice or any relevant course on patent law (Optional). LLB. Preferably should have at least 5-8 years of drafting experience.
- Able to draft patent applications independently, i.e., the candidate should be well versed with claim and specification drafting and should be able to individually conduct inventor and attorney interviews.
- Conducting patent searches and analysis of prior art disclosures.
- Expert in prior art search / patentability search by using various paid and freely available databases and making reports.
- To work closely with the attorneys and inventors Globally. Should be able to analyze scientific data to identify patentable inventions.
