Electrical Site Supervisor Government Electrical Projects (Mumbai)

Job Summary

We are looking for motivated and responsible Electrical Site Supervisors to execute and supervise Government electrical infrastructure projects across Mumbai. The role involves supervision of HV & LV underground cable laying works, cable jointing and termination, installation, testing & commissioning of VCBs, Transformers and RMUs.

Freshers with the right attitude are encouraged to apply. Candidates with apprenticeship or prior experience in Transmission & Distribution projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise HV & LV underground cable laying, jointing and termination works.
- Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of VCBs, Distribution Transformers and RMUs.
- Plan and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and within project timelines.
- Manage site manpower including supervisors, fitters, jointers and labour teams.
- Coordinate with office staff, project engineers, government authorities and client representatives.
- Resolve day-to-day site issues and proactively identify project risks.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site records and work documentation.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and safety standards.
- Read, interpret and, where required, prepare hand sketches/electrical diagrams for execution.
- Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Take ownership of assigned work and ensure timely completion.




- Maintain proper documentation as per company procedures and project requirements.
- Travel within Mumbai and, when required, outside the city for commissioning and project activities.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, or ITI Electrical (experienced candidates).
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with experience in Government electrical projects will be preferred.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

- Basic knowledge of Transmission & Distribution systems.
- Understanding of substations, underground cable networks and overhead distribution systems.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment including VCBs, Transformers and RMUs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a minimum one-year apprenticeship with BEST in Substation Erection and/or Cable Laying works.
