About the Role
HDFC Bank is looking for a highly experienced and technically strong AI Red Team Unit Lead to build, operationalize, and lead the Banks AI Red Team function. This is a strategic yet deeply hands-on leadership role, responsible for designing and executing adversarial attack simulations on both traditional systems and cutting-edge AI systems.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Offensive Security Testing, AI Security, Agentic AI systems, and Red Team operations, with the ability to establish enterprise-grade offensive AI frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead the Bank’s AI Red Team from the ground up.
Develop and operationalize autonomous Agentic systems capable of executing adversarial attacks on the Bank’s AI and traditional technology systems.
Conduct AI model penetration testing, adversarial ML attacks, and redteaming of LLMs and AI agents.
Perform Offensive Security Testing, including AppSec reviews, penetration testing, bug bounty analysis, and red team assessments.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, Data Science,



and Risk teams to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen AI system resilience.
Establish, refine, and enforce standards aligned with leading frameworks such as OWASP, OSSTMM, MITRE ATT&CK;, and MITRE ATLAS.
Prepare deepdive reports, threat models, and remediation plans for senior leadership.
Required Experience
18+ years of demonstrated experience in Offensive Security, Red Teaming, Penetration Testing, AppSec, and AI/ML Security.
Proven expertise in designing and running adversarial attack simulations.
Hands-on experience with AI Security, adversarial ML techniques, LLM vulnerabilities, and Agentic AI architectures.
Educational Qualifications
B.E / B.Tech / BCA / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields.
Preferred Certifications
(Any of the following or equivalent)
Offensive Security certifications: OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSMR, etc.
AI Security certifications: CAIS, AI Red Teaming certifications, MITRE ATLAS training, etc.
