Job Title: Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) SAP Archiving

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design and implementation of an Archiving program within an SAP S/4 landscape. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands on expertise in SAP ABAP (ADK Archiving) and SAP ILM, with strong solutioning abilities across data archiving, retention management, and legacy data handling.

Responsibilities:

- Provide architectural oversight during design, build, test, and deployment phases of the archiving program.
- Review and optimize ABAP custom objects, focusing on performance tuning and data handling logic.
- Define and enforce coding, documentation, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support integration architecture with ILM Stores, content servers, and external archival storage solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

- SAP ABAP: Advanced development experience, including ABAP OOPS, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Query Tuning, SQL trace, batch jobs, background processing, and parallelization.
- Solid knowledge of data structures (tables, clusters, pools) relevant to archiving.




- SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management): Experience with ILM Retention Management, Data Destruction, and ILM Store integration.
- Hands on experience in ILM object creation and enhancement, ILM architecture setup, policies, and audit compliance.
- Understanding of GDPR processes.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in leading cross functional teams in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and its archiving capabilities.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in data management and archiving.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 10 years of experience in SAP development and implementation, with a focus on archiving solutions.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in a technical leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
