Role & responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (such as SEBI LODR, IND-AS, Companies Act). This position plays a critical role in managing auditor interactions, supporting limited reviews and statutory audits, and ensuring seamless regulatory compliance.
As a core member of the finance function, you will work closely with the AGM Finance & Accounts, acting as a key enabler in strengthening reporting frameworks, enhancing process efficiencies, and upholding the integrity of financial information.
Financial Reporting:
- Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with INDAS / IGAAP
- Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- MIS Preparation of MIS and analysis of actual performance with budget
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings and statutory audits.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures, identifying trends and providing insights for management decisions.
- Consolidation: Consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities within Invit
Internal Controls:
- Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations during audit processes.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, working closely with various departments to gather necessary information.
- Forecasting: Prepare financial forecasts based on historical data, current trends, and future projections.
Preferred candidate profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory qualification
- 3–4 years of experience in financial reporting roles, Familiarity with the road sector / InVIT regulation will be an advantage.
- Robust understanding of IND AS, and regulatory requirements (LODR, InvIT, Companies Act).
- Proficiency in MIS preparation, variance analysis, financial consolidation, audit coordination and modelling
