Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end techno-commercial procurement for Greenfield/Brownfield solar cell manufacturing projects, covering both CAPEX and OPEX requirements.
- Manage procurement of CAPEX equipment including solar cell production lines, utilities, cleanroom systems, automation, material handling systems, EHS equipment, and Balance of Plant (BOP).
- Oversee procurement of OPEX materials including silicon wafers, silver/aluminium paste, specialty gases, chemicals, consumables, spares, packaging materials, and maintenance requirements to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to finalize technical specifications, BOQs, RFQs, vendor scope, and procurement strategies.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of domestic and international suppliers, including bid analysis, cost comparison, vendor qualification, and recommendation for award.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, payment milestones, delivery schedules, warranties, performance guarantees, liquidated damages (LD), contractual obligations, and risk mitigation clauses.
- Manage procurement of imported equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with INCOTERMS, customs regulations, logistics planning, freight forwarding, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor supplier manufacturing progress, inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), dispatch schedules, and timely delivery in line with project milestones.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives through supplier development,



localization, alternate sourcing, long-term agreements, and value engineering to optimize cost and reduce supply risks.
- Prepare, review, and administer high-value purchase orders, contracts, service agreements, EPC contracts, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and rate contracts while ensuring contractual compliance.
- Track procurement budgets, CAPEX spend, OPEX consumption, cash flow forecasts, and procurement KPIs to ensure adherence to approved budgets and project timelines.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, technology providers, and critical domestic and international suppliers to strengthen the procurement ecosystem.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through spend analysis, should-cost modelling, procurement digitalization, ERP/SAP implementation, and supplier performance management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies, audit requirements, ESG initiatives, statutory regulations, quality standards, and governance frameworks across procurement activities.
- Provide leadership to the procurement and contracts team by mentoring team members, establishing procurement best practices,



resolving commercial issues, and supporting cross-functional decision-making throughout project execution and manufacturing operations.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or relevant discipline (MBA preferred).
- 12-18 years of experience in procurement and contracts, preferably in solar cell/module manufacturing, semiconductors, electronics, or process industries.
- Strong experience in project Capex procurement for greenfield or brownfield manufacturing setups.
- Exposure to international sourcing, imports, and OEM negotiations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP / SAP-based procurement systems.
- Robust understanding of INCOTERMS, customs, logistics, and international trade practices.
