SAP FICO Consultant

Experience

24 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI and SAP CO modules, including implementation, support, rollout, or enhancement projects.

Educational Qualification

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (ICWA/CMA) – Mandatory
- SAP FICO Certification is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Configure, implement, and support SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional solutions.
- Configure and support key SAP FI components including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Bank Accounting

- Configure and support SAP CO components including:

- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
- Internal Orders
- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
- Product Costing
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Work on integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP.
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and coordinate with technical (ABAP) teams.
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).




- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
- Assist in data migration, master data management, and system enhancements.
- Prepare user documentation and provide end-user training and support.
- Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to improve financial processes.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of SAP FI and SAP CO configuration and business processes.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost management.
- Experience in SAP integration with MM, SD, and other modules.
- Knowledge of financial closing, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
- Ability to prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team workplace.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance is an added advantage.
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications is desirable.
- SAP FICO Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of GST, taxation, and statutory compliance processes is an advantage.
