Role & responsibilities
To lead architectural planning, design coordination, execution support, and overall architectural compliance across projects. The Architect will be responsible for translating business requirements into functional and aesthetically sound designs while ensuring seamless coordination with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior, Consultants, Contractors, and statutory authorities for timely project delivery
Key Responsibilities
1. Architectural Design & Planning
Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed architectural designs.
Prepare design briefs, layouts, and working drawings.
Review architectural drawings prepared by consultants.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, NBC, local authority regulations, and company standards.
Optimize layouts considering functionality, sustainability, cost, and operational efficiency.
2. Project Coordination
Coordinate with Structural, Civil, MEP, Landscape, Interior, and Faade consultants.
Ensure integration of architectural and engineering services.
Conduct interdisciplinary design coordination meetings.
Resolve design clashes before construction.
Review consultant submissions for accuracy and completeness.
3. MEP Coordination
Coordinate HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and Building Management System requirements with architectural designs.
Review MEP shop drawings for architectural compatibility.
Ensure proper routing of services without affecting aesthetics or functionality.
Coordinate ceiling layouts, service shafts, equipment rooms, and utility spaces.
Resolve site-level architectural and MEP coordination issues.
Participate in MEP design review meetings and site coordination meetings.
4. Construction Support
Provide architectural support during construction.
Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure execution as per approved drawings.
Review contractor shop drawings and material submissions.
Resolve technical queries raised during construction.
Monitor quality of architectural finishes and workmanship.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for compliance.
5. Consultant & Contractor Management
Manage architectural consultants throughout project lifecycle.
Evaluate consultant deliverables and timelines.
Coordinate with contractors for implementation.
Ensure timely closure of design issues.
Review RFIs, variation requests, and technical submissions.
6. Approvals & Compliance
Coordinate statutory approvals from relevant authorities.
Ensure compliance with fire safety, environmental, accessibility, and building regulations.
Support documentation for occupancy and completion certificates.
7. Cost & Value Engineering
Participate in value engineering exercises.
Recommend alternative materials and construction methodologies.
Optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Review BOQs related to architectural works.
8. Documentation
Maintain architectural documentation and drawing registers.
Ensure revision control of drawings.
Prepare technical reports and design presentations.
Maintain records of approvals and design changes.
9. Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with internal departments including Projects, Procurement, Contracts, Planning, and Quality.
Liaise with consultants, vendors, contractors, and statutory authorities.
Participate in client and management review meetings.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Architecture.
- 5 to 10 years of Architectural experience in the real estate
