Position Title : Procurement Manager

Position Summery

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with 8 to 15 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of industrial electrical equipment and automation components. Expertise in vendor development, techno-commercial negotiations, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and inventory management. Proven ability to manage end-to-end procurement operations, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure timely material availability while maintaining compliance with quality and organizational standards. Proficient in ERP/Tally, MS Excel, and procurement MIS with solid leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Role & responsibilities

- Lead procurement of PLC Panels, HT/LT Panels, MCC/PCC Panels, Control Panels, Switchgear, Wires & Cables, Conveyors, VFDs, Electrical Accessories, and Industrial Automation Components.
- Develop and manage a strong vendor base, conduct vendor evaluation, and identify new suppliers for electrical components.
- Float RFQs, analyze techno-commercial quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize procurement within budget.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders and ensure timely procurement as per project schedules.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, and Stores for material planning and availability.
- Monitor order execution, expedite deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of materials.




- Verify stock availability before procurement and maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Ensure procurement complies with approved specifications, quality standards, company policies, and ISO procedures.
- Handle logistics, import/export documentation, and customs compliance where applicable.
- Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and long-term vendor partnerships.
- Maintain procurement records, ERP/Tally entries, MIS reports, and audit documentation.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team while ensuring ethical procurement practices and continuous process improvement.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (MBA in Supply Chain is an added advantage).
