We are looking to recruit a seasoned Powder Metallurgy professional to lead production operations at our manufacturing facility. The role is part of the Production vertical and carries end-to-end responsibility for plant operations, process stability, productivity, quality, and people management.

The ideal candidate will come from a robust Powder Metallurgy manufacturing background, having managed shop-floor and plant-level responsibilities in an industrial setup.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Plant Operations

- Lead day-to-day production operations for Powder Metallurgy processes including powder preparation, compaction, sintering, heat treatment, and finishing.

- Ensure achievement of production targets in line with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

- Drive process discipline, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best manufacturing practices.

Process & Quality Control

- Monitor and optimize Powder Metallurgy processes for yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost efficiency.

- Work closely with Quality and R&D; teams to ensure product consistency and adherence to customer specifications.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.).

People & Shift Management

- Manage production teams including supervisors, engineers, operators, and technicians.

- Ensure effective shift planning, manpower utilization, training, and performance monitoring.

- Foster a strong safety-first and accountability-driven culture on the shop floor.

Maintenance & Safety





- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance.

- Ensure compliance with EHS norms, statutory requirements, and internal safety standards.

MIS & Reporting

- Track and report production KPIs, inventory, downtime, rejection rates, and cost metrics.

- Provide regular MIS and actionable insights to senior management.

Candidate Profile

Education

- B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy / Materials Science from a reputed university or institute.

- Postgraduate qualification (M.Tech / MS / MBA Operations) will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Proven experience in Powder Metallurgy manufacturing within the Production / Plant Operations function.

- Prior responsibility for plant-level or large production unit operations is strongly preferred.

- Experience working in structured manufacturing environments with strong process orientation.
