Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused Manual Tester with hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, SQL, and Automation Suite Maintenance. The ideal candidate should have solid analytical skills, experience working in Agile environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform Manual Functional, Regression, Integration and System Testing.
- Execute test cases, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers for defect resolution.
- Validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and database testing.
- Review logs and validate data flow between integrated applications.
- Maintain and execute existing automation test suites developed using Selenium or similar automation frameworks.
- Update automation scripts to accommodate application enhancements and bug fixes.
- Analyse automation execution results and troubleshoot script failures.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality status updates.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and quality assurance practices.

Required Technical Skills

Manual Testing

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Functional, Regression,



Integration, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing support
- Test Case Design and Execution
- Defect Management using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools

API Testing

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs
- Proficient in Postman and/or Swagger
- API request/response validation
- Authentication methods (OAuth, Basic Auth, Bearer Tokens)
- JSON and XML validation

SQL & Database Testing

- Strong SQL query writing skills
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Joins, Subqueries, Aggregations, Stored Procedures, and Views
- Database testing on SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

Automation Maintenance

- Experience maintaining existing Selenium automation frameworks
- Basic understanding of Java or Python
- Updating object repositories and locators
- Script execution and failure analysis
- Automation regression execution and reporting

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology
- Version control using Git
- Experience testing integrations between multiple applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification (preferred).
