The Legal Counsel will be a core delivery member responsible for managing client engagements end-to-end from understanding client briefs to drafting, reviewing, and delivering high-quality legal work within agreed timelines. This is a client-facing role requiring robust drafting skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to manage multiple mandates simultaneously.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, employment agreements, and MoUs
- Provide legal opinions and day-to-day advisory to clients on matters related to corporate law, the Companies Act 2013, and the Indian Contract Act 1872
Conduct legal audits and compliance reviews for clients on a monthly basis
- Manage client retainer engagements scheduling, hour tracking, and deliverable management
- Represent Lex Mores in client meetings and strategy discussions
- Brief and supervise Executive Associates on assigned matters
- Maintain accurate records of all work done, hours logged, and client communications
- Support business development by identifying expansion opportunities within existing client accounts
Qualifications
- LLB from a recognized university (LLM preferred)
- Enrolled with Bar Council of India
- 2 - 6 years of post-qualification experience
- Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal team
