Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Support / Field Execution Engineer Solar SCADA to manage the installation support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and field execution of SCADA systems deployed across utility-scale and commercial solar power plants. The candidate will ensure reliable communication, data acquisition, and monitoring of plant equipment while coordinating with customers, OEMs, and project teams to deliver timely technical support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide remote and onsite technical support for Solar SCADA systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of SCADA hardware, RTUs, PLCs, communication devices, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
- Diagnose and resolve communication failures, data gaps, sensor faults, and SCADA-related issues.
- Execute firmware and software upgrades for RTUs, PLCs, inverters, and SCADA servers.
- Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, LoRa, protocol converters, and energy meters.
- Maintain calibration records, technical documentation, network diagrams, and service reports.
- Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and ensure timely closure of service tickets.
- Coordinate with customers, OEMs, EPC contractors, and O&M; teams for issue resolution and site activities.
- Participate in maintenance review meetings and provide technical updates.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, PPE requirements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with SCADA platforms, RTUs, and PLCs (Siemens S7 or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Solar SCADA architecture and communication systems.
- Experience with Modbus RTU/TCP, LoRa communication, protocol converters, WMS,



and energy meters.
- Understanding of utility-scale solar power plants, inverters (ABB, SMA, Sungrow, Huawei, FIMER), BESS, transformers, and switchgear.
- Familiarity with plant performance metrics such as PR, CUF, PLF, and Specific Yield.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows OS, SCADA architecture, and electrical drawings.
- Experience with calibration of pyranometers, anemometers, temperature sensors, and energy meters.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Computer Science Engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in Solar SCADA, Power Utility, or Renewable Energy projects.
- Siemens TIA Portal certification will be an added advantage.
- Experience in the Solar Industry is preferred.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

- Frequent travel to utility-scale solar plants across India.
- Ability to work in remote locations, outdoor environments, and challenging weather conditions.
- On-call support for critical system failures and emergency restoration activities.
- Strict adherence to HSE and safety standards.
