About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented professional for the position of AVP Operations (Gold Loan). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational activities of the Gold Loan business, ensuring process efficiency, regulatory compliance, portfolio quality, customer service excellence, and operational risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management

- Lead and manage end-to-end Gold Loan operations across branches/regions.
- Ensure smooth execution of loan processing, disbursement, renewals, closures, and auction processes.
- Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and process improvements.
- Monitor branch operational performance and ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Monitor operational risks and implement effective control mechanisms.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for timely closure of observations.
- Ensure proper custody, valuation, and security of pledged gold assets.

Portfolio & Process Control

- Track operational KPIs and portfolio quality indicators.
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and turnaround time (TAT).
- Ensure accurate documentation and record maintenance.




- Monitor loan lifecycle management and exception handling processes.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams across locations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and customer-centricity.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with business, credit, risk, finance, and technology teams.
- Support business expansion initiatives and current branch launches.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Gold Loan Operations within NBFCs, Banks.
- Strong understanding of Gold Loan processes, valuation procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.
- Experience in managing multi-location operations and large teams.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and operational management systems.
